It had to be the proper date postmark, a US Postal service money order only, and a lot of luck. Mail would take longer to arrive from closer to the office vs. across the country in some cases. It was a straight up crapshoot by the end. By Fall '93 I quit trying to mail order and went exclusively with scalpers that were local to the venue. Paid a hefty price but never got shut out.

Now that I think about it, I never went without a ticket except for Spring '89, and scored tix for all 3 shows. I guess I was a little lucky for those three.

Got tix for the 9/90 Richfield shows that way. Even found an image of the envelope on the GDAO site recently.

The second set is burned into my brain (esp. the Eyes & Estimated & Terrapin).
I wrote 'one more sat night' on a big joint the night before... Had to wait til the encore to smoke it. It was worth it.

Can you post your envelope pix plz?? Would love to see it :)
